Every Rocket display is designed, rigged and fired by highly experienced and qualified pyrotechnicians who fire displays all over the UK and Ireland. The crew of 60, based in Kent, Wiltshire, Preston and Ireland have all worked on some of the most talked about fireworks displays in the world, from Sydney Harbour Bridge to the Galway Arts Festival.

All Rocket crew have passed their British Pyrotechnists Exams and all Display Managers hold specialist driving licences for safe and professional transportation of fireworks (ADR).

Many of our crew have been vetted by the MOD to work on Royal and State events in the UK and Ireland. All Rocket crew regularly attend in-house training programmes and British Pyrotechnists Association training programmes. All Display Managers have completed Life Saving courses and hold specialist qualifications in rigging, working at height and driving cherry pickers.

The media have taken a keen interest in Rocket: the crew and their 'art of fireworks' have appeared in many newspapers and magazines and on many television and radio programmes .

You may have seen Paul on Kitchen Invaders, where BBC's Ross Burden showed Paul how to flambé and Paul showed Ross a thing or two about fireworks!

The Rocket crew have travelled the world sourcing new cutting edge and innovative fireworks and effects which are imported into the UK and used in all Rocket's displays. Only the highest quality fireworks are used, mainly from Australia, Taiwan, Malta, Spain and Italy.

Each firework is chosen for its superior colour, length of 'hold in the sky', noise effect and design. From zig zags and spirals through to smiley faces and parachute shells

Donal Macmahon, MD of Rocket Pyrotechnics Ireland, has designed and fired most of Irelands fireworks display, from the infamous Slane Castle displays to the long established Puck Fair. Donal and his team spend their Summer on the road, firing displays for many of Ireland's festivals, carnivals and events. As well as firing countless indoor fireworks displays and effects at concerts, conferences and staged events.
